<<<INCOMING_TRANSMISSION>>> Imperialshipyards.net are spear heading a petition to see the fans can get George Lucas to change his mind about new canon changes, plus to see if we can get back Karen Traviss to finish off her story arc in the Republic Commando Series. (Read Karen's explaination HERE)
Visit Imperialshipyards and help boost the petition. The aim is to get 10,000 to sign it so that we may be able to make our voice heard loud enough that we get corrective action. Spread the word via YouTube to all your Facebook friends!!! _________________ Mousedroid (Admin & Owner)

I haven't read the books in question and don't have any plans to. I'm not saying I think that the peace-loving Mandalorian storyline from the CW show is a great idea, it's certainly not. The Mandalorians are the Spartans of the SW universe, the war state with a society different from any other, that's what makes them interesting and different. I understand fans of the books wanting to see a conclusion to a long running series. However, and maybe i'm wrong here, but the claim that the Republic Commando books are the most popular EU material ever seems a grand claim to make. Do they sell in numbers far higher than other SW books? To my knowledge, the characters from them didn't dominate the recent Hasbro wishlist vote. The thrust of the petition seems misguided. The Mandalorians have played a huge role in other EU eras, most notably the KOTOR era, which I would have thought is a more popular and well known meta-story. Appealing to a wider range of SW fans and targeting the creators of the show might be wise. _________________ YJ |
